I support clients to learn and practice skills and activities involved in daily living, and support with social and community participation.
Around the house this might include supporting clients with:
Meal planning/preparation and cooking
Cleaning, tidying and sorting
Planning, organising and list-writing (e.g. for tasks to be completed or shopping)
Laundry
Hobbies, arts and crafts
Personal grooming and care
Technology use (e.g. setting up new phone or appliance and learning how to use it)
Life admin skills, e.g. learning how to use and manage calendars, alarm clocks and timers
Paying bills
Booking appointments
Support to remember medication
Outside the house this might include supporting clients with:
Engaging with work and volunteering
Using public transport
Using services at a post office or bank
Attending appointments
Accessing library services
Shopping (e.g. groceries, pharmacy, clothing etc.)
Money handling
Conversation and engagement
Sports and outdoor leisure activities (e.g. ball sports, aerobie, daily exercises, walks)
Attending gyms and aquatic centres
