Boost Health and Wellbeing
Boost Health and Wellbeing provides friendly, individualised support for people living with mental health issues, mental illness, intellectual disability and physical disability.
Lead social worker Mathew Theore works 1:1 with clients to provide tailored care and support with social and community participation and some activities of daily living enabling people to practice current skills and learn new skills to boost personal capacity.
We are based in the beautiful Adelaide Hills, but work across the Hills and Adelaide metropolitan area.
I am a trained social worker providing tailored support to people living with mental health issues, mental illness, intellectual disability and physical disability, supporting them to access and participate in their communities and supporting their wellbeing through social engagement. I work with people to understand their individual needs, preferences, goals, and aspirations in order to develop a tailored support program.
I believe in the importance of dignity and choice for my clients, and I support them to further their independence with a focus on skill development, build stronger bonds in their communities, increase self-esteem and confidence, and build and strengthen new and existing relationships with friends and loved ones.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) from the University of NSW in 2017 and have experience working as both a NDIS support coordinator and as a support worker providing 1:1 support to clients.
I believe that a caring, engaged and friendly support worker can make all the difference to people with disability. I value building relationships with my clients and providing continuity of support to enable clients to work towards long-term goals and build on their existing strengths.
